Role

As a Desktop Technician, you’ll provide essential support for desktop and end-user technologies, handling hardware/software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will also manage user accounts, password resets, MFA, and other administrative tasks. The role offers 24×7 coverage with on- call duties when the office is closed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-User Support: Provide tier-1 and tier-2 support for desktop users, resolving 50-60% of issues via predefined solutions and escalating others for further troubleshooting.
  • Administer User Accounts: Manage Active Directory (AD), Single Sign-On (SSO), MFA, and user onboarding/offboarding tasks.
  • Device Management: Manage and troubleshoot Windows (via Intune) and Apple devices (via Jamf), ensuring device compatibility with corporate standards.
  • Executive Support: Provide specialized, confidential support for senior leadership, handling high-priority requests and managing their devices and conference room tech.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on emerging technologies, participate in training, and assist in advanced IT functions like network management.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain documentation for troubleshooting, solutions, and incident tracking through IT service management tools.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft) are a plus but not required with equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in help desk or desktop support, familiar with tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Intune, Jamf, Windows, MacOS, and basic networking. PowerShell scripting is a bonus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to support senior leadership with professionalism and urgency.
  • Work Hours: Flexibility for 24x7x365 coverage, including on-call availability during off-hours.
