DevOps Engineer (AWS) 

Location: Remote (Latin America Only)
Type: Full-Time Contractor
Timezone: Workday overlap with Eastern Time (ET) required

Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and analyze load and performance tests to identify bottlenecks, scalability issues, and reliability risks.
  • Provide clear recommendations and implement solutions to improve system performance and resource efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure (EC2, ELB, EFS, S3, RDS, etc.), ensuring stability, scalability, and security.
  • Implement best practices for infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively detect and address issues.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning, scaling, and optimizing cloud resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, operations) to ensure performance standards and SLAs are consistently met.
  • Conduct regular infrastructure audits and cost optimization reviews to ensure efficient use of AWS services.
  • Stay up to date with AWS advancements and performance testing tools, applying relevant improvements to the stack.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience 
  • Strong experience with AWS (EC2, ELB, EFS, S3, RDS, others)
  • Experience with load testing & optimization
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured startup setting
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Located in Latin America with ET timezone overlap
