ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re looking for a seasoned Sr Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to support a fast-moving seed-stage startup. You’ll work within a small, collaborative product-engineering pod focused on internal tools and workflows that drive operations, finance, and onboarding. The environment is dynamic and requires strong problem-solving skills, autonomy, and comfort with ambiguity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Django and Python
- Work within a microservices architecture across multiple codebases
- Collaborate with a product manager and frontend engineer to define and deliver solutions
- Unpack vague feature requests into actionable technical tasks
- Ship customer-facing tools that support internal teams like ops, finance, and legal
- Occasionally contribute to frontend tasks to support full stack flexibility
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development
- Strong experience with Python and Django
- Experience working in Azure-based environments
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, unstructured startup setting
- Ability to work independently, ask the right questions, and drive solutions forward
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (React preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Located in Latin America with ET timezone overlap
Nice to have:
- Experience working with HIPAA-compliant systems or regulated environments
- Familiarity with Rippling or similar platforms for training/deployment
