Lead Data Engineer 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our data ecosystem. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility. As a key collaborator with business and technical teams, you will drive data-driven insights, optimize infrastructure, and support strategic decision-making. Responsibilities 

  • Implement data processes for the Data Warehouse and internal systems – Manage and update Data Engineering architecture 
  • Implement processes for data accuracy and reconciliation 
  • Design and implement ETL processes 
  • Make data available through reporting platforms 
  • Analyze data and communicate insights to stakeholders 
  • Implement and integrate monitoring tools to closely track and manage various aspects of the data architecture, including storage, ETL processes, compute resources, and associated costs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. 
  • Collaborate closely with the business team to develop and implement tools and mechanisms that deliver actionable business intelligence. 
  • Develop strategies to ensure data security and protect privacy. 
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve comprehensive documentation for data models and ETL processes. 

Requirements and skills 

  • At least 7 years of work experience, with 2 years in a similar role – Experience in data architecture, data quality, metadata management, ETL, analytics, reporting, and database administration 
  • Computer Sciences / Computer Engineer Degree 
  • Strong computer science background and knowledge of software development methodologies 
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL
  • Strong Programming experience in Python with PySpark required. 
  • Great English communication skills 
  • Diligent, rigorous, and collaborative 
  • Bonus: Experience in Project Management, Business Analysis, Consulting, Operations, Statistical analysis 
  • Required experience with AWS Redshift, APIs, Git, Linux, and AWS Glue, AWS DMS, AWS Athena
  • Familiarly with data visualization platforms like (Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI)
