About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Rust Engineer to help modernize and optimize a core data plane processing system. You’ll play a key role in converting an existing GoLang-based service to Rust, focusing on high performance, scalability, and efficient network data processing.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain high-performance network data plane software in Rust.
- Convert and optimize existing GoLang components into Rust-based equivalents.
- Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams to ensure reliability, latency, and throughput goals.
- Work independently to deliver well-structured, maintainable, and tested code.
- Contribute to code reviews, performance tuning, and documentation.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years with Rust.
- Strong understanding of network programming, IP networking, and data plane architectures.
- Experience working with GoLang or C/C++ is a plus.
- Solid understanding of concurrency, memory safety, and low-level performance tuning.
- Ability to work independently in a distributed team environment.
