About the Role
We’re a small team building a product that’s past MVP and moving fast. You’ll be the primary frontend engineer — owning the UI codebase, making architectural decisions, and shipping quality code without someone reviewing every line. This is an IC role, not a management track.
What You’ll Do
- Own the frontend architecture and day-to-day development on a React 19 + TypeScript codebase
- Build and maintain performant, accessible UI components with clean state management
- Integrate with REST APIs (ASP.NET Core backend) and contribute to API contract design
- Work with Vite build tooling and React Router — keep the build pipeline healthy
- Participate in code review, set the bar for frontend quality on a lean team
- Collaborate directly with the backend engineer and product stakeholders — no hand-holding required
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of professional frontend experience, with at least 3 in TypeScript + React
- Comfortable with React 19 patterns (hooks, Suspense, concurrent features)
- Strong opinions about component architecture, performance, and accessibility
- Experience working in small teams where you’re not the only one but aren’t waiting on others either
- Familiarity with CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Docker at a conceptual level, and working in a containerized environment
- You write production-quality code on the first pass — not just prototypes
Nice to Have
- Background in health tech, EHR integrations, or HIPAA-aware development
- Experience with AI-powered product features from the frontend side
- Exposure to OpenAPI-spec-driven development
