ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re seeking a senior or architect-level engineer to augment our team as we build the next iteration of our core infrastructure. This is a contract opportunity with a 3–12 month engagement window, ideal for seasoned developers who thrive in fast-paced, data-heavy environments.
This role sits at the intersection of fullstack development and data engineering, and will play a critical role in shaping scalable architecture and systems for complex data processing and analytics.
What You’ll Work On:
- Developing and optimizing a Vue.js frontend and Python backend
- Designing and implementing ETL pipelines, including rolling pre-aggregations for reporting
- Working with Apache Iceberg for data lake management and improving performance of reporting queries
- Leveraging DuckDB for lightweight, high-speed analytics
- Contributing to the architecture and infrastructure of a high-performance system
- (Bonus) Working with systems that involve Ad Tech, real-time bidding, or auction-based applications
What We’re Looking For:
- Senior-level experience in both frontend and backend development (Vue.js + Python)
- Hands-on experience with data engineering tools and systems
- Deep understanding of data lake architecture, especially Iceberg
- Proficiency with ETL design, query optimization, and data aggregation strategies
- Experience with or interest in DuckDB and similar analytical databases
- Bonus: Experience in Ad Tech or bidding platforms
Nice to Have:
- Comfort operating in a startup or scale-up environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior developers
