Engineers work closely with product, design, data, and QA teams to deliver high-impact features while continuously improving performance, scalability, and data integrity across a modern cloud-native architecture.
The Role
As a Cloud Backend Engineer, you will play a senior technical leadership role within a multidisciplinary team. You’ll help design, build, and scale backend systems that power a modern SaaS platform handling large, complex datasets. This role has a strong emphasis on C#, AWS, and SQL. These are absolute must-have skills and are critical to success in this position.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and scale backend services and REST APIs using C#.
- Architect and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Write and optimize high-performance SQL queries for large, data-intensive systems.
- Partner with product management, design, and QA to deliver new features and enhancements.
- Lead code reviews, uphold engineering best practices, and mentor other engineers.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability across large datasets.
- Build and integrate services using AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and Redshift.
- Design and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Identify and resolve system bottlenecks to ensure high availability and uptime.
What You Bring
Core Technical Requirements (Must-Have)
- 7+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong, hands-on experience with C# in production environments.
- Deep experience building and operating systems on AWS.
- Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and working with large datasets.
Additional Technical Experience
- Experience with RESTful API design and distributed systems.
- Experience working with relational and analytical databases.
- Understanding of ELT/ETL pipelines and data processing workflows.
- Strong foundation in software design principles and architecture.
- Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Comfortable operating as a senior technical contributor and technical leader.
